Brief # 3
Architecture / Interior Design.
Architecture and interior design has recently become a recent interest of mine.
I guess it's always been there and as a visual person, I like looking at "nice" things.
I love clean, effective and minimal design showing nothing but the functionality of the design
or the idea shines through.
TUMBLR -
Having a tumblr is a brilliant way of seeing all sorts of visual stimulai.
The posts I see and save to my desktop range from a new project by a design agency or
a new office that's been made.
It's not that surprising to find that Architecture/interior design and graphic design have quite a bit in common. I like to believe my design reflects the similar approach used by some architects.
The use of lines, angles and using the space is very important in both lines of work and I would love
to combine those into a brief.
Initial ideas.
Find a interior design/architecture student in Leeds and design an identity for said student.
This will include the usual stationary as well as catalogues and various printed material.
Publication.
As previously mentioned, I've been looking at quite a few blogs that post architecture/interior design
and the kind of design I found quite interesting are very modern and consist of clean and simple lines
and focus on Function over form I've been considering creating a publication on a number of Architects/designers.
This publication would contain interviews about their process (if I can get in contact)
and their views of current architecture/design out there. The publication would also include
examples of famous pieces of architecture.
