I figured whilst animation of the numbers increasing and the bar accompanying them it seemed odd to have a static background. I came across some before and after photos of the Japan Tsunami and created a sample animation
It's abit rough as it was a quick experiment but hopefully it gets the idea across. The numbers and infographics would sit ontop of this animation.
