Silent film briefing
This morning we were briefed on DIGITAL PRODUCTION module. Fred showed us what design for digital production was and the thought process that goes into everything we see on tv/games/films etc.
Like everything else in the real world, digital media starts with an idea. An ident on tv could be beautifully executed but if there is no idea or thought process to back it up, it means nothing.This morning we were briefed on DIGITAL PRODUCTION module. The silent movie brief started with selecting 2 words from the Randomiser. We are required to produce a minimum of 5 X five second animated sequence that explore the visual communication of these words through the use of letterform only.
My words were SNAP & COLLIDE.
Before all that I need to do some research.
FOR THURSDAY MORNING -
- Find 20 other words that relate to our words.
- 20 meanings of our words.
- 20 objects that relate to our words.
- 20 situations relating to our words - example: Flash - Lightning flash, photography flash.
- and 20 typefaces which are appropriate for the two words.
